Ok so just a quick little update and post. We (Vulture House) have got involved with a new animal charity based out of the Naivasha area, Kenya. We have been out there to see the ARR reserve and Kongoni Lodge which is located within their grounds. It is all very excited and we are honoured to be involved. We will continue to work with them on drumming up interested and creating new awareness and fund raising initiatives. We have already produced and designed a website for them see www.animalrightsreserved.com and have roped in prolific sculptor David Farrer who launched his new show 'holy cow' this evening at the Rebbeca Hossack gallery london.

So whats been going on in the Vulture Household

Hello dear readers,

I fear i might of slightly neglected the VH blog over the Christmas period for which i deeply apologise. We touched on the subject of the new POSH ROCK's night due to launch some day this year we hope, lol. Those you familiar with the events and promotions world you might know January is always a little quiet.

There is however a new beaming light on the sunny horizon. We are doing a Wedding, certainly unfamiliar territory for Vulture House but in no ways daunting. With a team at hand boasting plenty of previous wedding experience and a wonderful bride with specific ideas it is truly going to be a fantastic and beautiful event. We will keep you vaguely posted.

We have also been recruited to project manage and get involved with a fantastic Charity called Glad's House. The charity aimed at helping the street children of Mombasa, Kenya, return to a 'normal way of life' is wanting a high end beautiful and fantastic fund raising event to help build a school and shelter for the children. Do have a look over their website and get involved it is a truly inspiring and wonderful project.

Not much to say at this time, my self Edward/Vulture House and some others are getting together to start up a new night. It's going to be fun, it's going to be cheap and as standard there will be bands, dj's and perhaps the added fun of some dancers.

The domain has been purchased and a holding page erected. Some stage 1 artwork attached above. All facebook avenues completed, page, group etc etc have no idea what all that means now but it's there non the less. Maybe it's my age but isn't facebook getting more and more complicated? BAN*JAM & Vulture House Presents

At BAN JAM on the 23rd.... Timithy James, Sweet Men Of Hell & OST. It was back in his hometown of Perth, Western Australia, that a young Timithy James got his first taste of the music industry. Aged just 15, he started playing at bars and clubs around the city with The Late Night Menu, the funk band he had formed with some mates from school. “We’d tell the promoters on the phone we were 18, and then sneak in through the back so they couldn’t check our IDs. We’d just appear on stage and bust out...”

Timithy arrived in London in 2008 with no contacts in the UK music industry and barely a penny to his name. He headed to Ronnie Scott’s. At first he would busk outside for cash, but after a while he caught the attention of some acts on the Jazz scene and ended up doing impromptu performances onstage at the bar between shows.

It was around this time that Timithy bumped into an old friend from Perth – N’fa of 1200 Techniques. “We first met when I was in high school. I'd been asked to sing at a family friend’s wedding. N’fa was the best man.” N’fa took Timithy under his wing, introducing him to his management company, Twisted Kids Ltd, who signed him immediately.

Timithy spent the next year honing his already considerable vocal, production and writing skills; working with everyone from a top UK vocal coach to Melbourne-based Hip Hop producers J.Smith & the Dutch and playing at various renowned venues. The result of this journey, ‘As I Was Saying...’ is Timithy’s first Live EP. Entirely written and produced by the man himself, it stands as a testament to his talent and dedication.

OST” is an ‘emotronic’ rock four-piece band, constantly busy playing gigs, predominantly in the south of England. With their brew of dance, electro, dub and rock, OST has also gained recognition in the United States and in Europe, playing a 12-day tour of Norway in 2009. Originally from Malmesbury in North Wiltshire, the band is comprised of two pairs of brothers, the Cameron’s, (James: guitars & lead vocals and Dan, drums & backing vocals) and the Unwin’s (Mike: guitars, keys, percussion and backing vocals, and Chris, bass guitar and backing vocals).

“Pushing post-rock up a notch, OST have separated themselves from their counterparts by the introduction of epic keyboards and superb production values, creating mesmerising soundscapes that never fail to be attention-grabbing.” (BBC WM - Brumcast Net Radio, The Sound of the UK Midlands).

Lastly we have Sweet Men Of Hell a power trio who make blues rock and roll noises out of london England.

Our headlining DJ this week will be Ban Jam resident visual dj’s BONGO WORM accompanied by Skip Skip Jump, and Angela Boyle. All playing some indie classics and funk.

Supporting our epic headline will be the band Wild Party, What do you get when you take five gangly kids from the middle of Texas, give them a laptop and some beat up guitars, and tell them to make a record? Well, a party of course. Wild Party could easily be the love child of The Killers and The Strokes. However, upon closer listen, sounds like the band have taken the best parts of the sixties, seventies and eighties, put them in a blender, then shook with a few shots of vodka. Imagine The Rolling Stones, The Talking Heads and Flock of Seagulls got locked into a studio for a week with nothing but their instruments, a disco ball and a healthy supply of grain alcohol. Wild Party's debut single, Life's Too Short, is a catchy blend of pop melodies prancing atop dance rhythms and lushly backed by swirling B3s, tube-driven guitars and samples that could have been pulled from Mac or been looped off an AM radio. Ban Jam ft Media Circus 21.October.2010

MEDIA CIRCUS are at the forefront of the South of England’s Bournemouth music scene. The four piece band, Sam Lowen, Luke Sandoe, Dale Jones, and Tom Reade are a culmination of previous music ventures. Soaring choruses, epic soundscapes and melodies that worm their way inside your head and bunker down for good: That's the Media Circus way. Formed in 2009 in the sleepy town of Ringwood in England's New Forest, the four-piece layer Sam Lowen's deep, rich vocals over Luke Sandoe's scattergun drums, while Dale Jones and Tomus Reade build a sound that far belies their years.
Having moved - albeit briefly - to London to further their careers, Media Circus have been the talk of the music industry, and it's easy to see why: Media Circus are already a stadium-sized band, so catch them now, before they turn stratospheric.

Sam's previous band ended but they continued writing and playing together with the absence of a full line up.
Dale took the role of bassist having had no previous experience with the instrument and took upon himself to learn as he was close to the band and a huge fan of their writing.
Sam’s college friend and jamming partner Luke then joined with similar music tastes. During jam sessions at the college it became increasingly obvious that they had a connection and left his then current band to join them.
The rest is history, Media Circus quickly became the most popular stadium quartet in Ringwood England. Media Circus are now relocating to London from Bournemouth.

Supporting Media Circus we have the band called UP, with influences like Wham! and Queen, this new band is causing quite the stir. They are receiving interest from various record labels and are in high demand for London venues.

Lastly but on stage first we have James Moss, James as a solo artist has raised a fair few head around London. The Brigton born has now put a band together called Familien, to be first seen at Ban Jam.

Ban Jam ft Jessie J & Lauren Pritchard

Headlining Ban Jam was is Jessie J. This was her third appearance with us at Ban Jam, when she first performed with us over two years ago in our Wardour Street venue. If you haven’t heard of Jessie yet then the chances are you’re about to. Already hugely successful as a songwriter, Jessie has written songs for Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera, Justin Timberlake as well as writing Mylie Cyrus’s huge No.1 Billboard smash in the states “Party In The U.S.A”. However songwriting is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Jessie J’s talent. At the tender age of 21 the singer possesses one of the best voices to come out of the U.K in a long time.

Supporting Jessie was Lauren Pritchard. The Jackson Tennessee born, 22-year-old London based solo artist, has had quite a journey over the past few years. She has recently dueted with the legendary Paul Weller onstage during his In Concert Radio 2 session and has featured on the B-side track, How Sweet It Is To Be Loved By You, to his new single.

In support was Scottish born, London living front man Antony Cherrie and drummer Laura Fares (Sam Sparro) are joined by Harry Peirson (Rihanna) on Guitar to become... Johnny Lazer. Their live shows have been tearing up London venues and clubs for the last six months with Johnny Lazer playing The Hackney Empire, Proud Galleries, Hoxton Bar and Grill, Shoreditch House and previously L.A. venues such as The Viper Room and Spaceland.

Opeing for us was Japayork a 22-year old musician and graphic designer currently based in London but previously residing between Japan and New York, hence the name. His catchy synth-pop productions have been an immediate hit and loved by all that listen. Apart from the above he remains a bit of an enigma, He is by day a graphic designer and created his own music video all at japayork.com

Headlining Ban Jam this week will be the, Mad Dog managed by Ban Jam’s resident DJ Soldier Of The Knight’s Jaime Bradley of Rocket Music. Mad Dog are already recognized within the revered circles of bands such as Them Crooked Vultures, Queens of the Stone Age and The Raconteurs. With powerful, cranked-up riffs and simple hard-hitting melodies, Mad Dog have a sound that is distinctive, relevant and sexy. Front man Tommy Smith is the driving force of the band; he is Robert Plant and Jimmy Page rolled into one. At the tender age of 23, the band are ahead of their time. This summer Mad Dog played Jelling Festival in Denmark, headlined the main stage at Music For Life Festival in Suffolk and were on stage the hour before Motorhead took the stage at Getaway Rock Festival in Sweden. After gaining praise from the press and the biggest radio stations in Scandinavia, they about to head back out for more European dates in time for the launch of their debut EP. And are set to tour Australia and US next year. Medicine EP will be out later this year.

Headlining Ban Jam on the 30th was the, Disappearers they are a British rock band formed in London in 1971, originally consisting of ???, (vocals, piano), Gillian Maguire (piano, vocals), William Reid (bass guitar), and Pete Havard (drums, vocals). Disappearer's initial works were chiefly glam rock, heavy metal and progressive rock orientated ; however, with time, the band has incorporated diverse and innovative styles in their music, exploring the likes of vaudeville, electronic music and funk. The band digressed from using progressive themes in their music in the mid-1970s, with more conventional and radio-friendly works bringing them greater success.

The Collectable Few began in West London in 2008. United by a love of 80s pop records and fuzzy US guitar bands, the four-piece create infectious sun-fuelled pop songs with multi-layered melodies and dance-worthy beats. The band have spent the past months honing their exhilarating live show which displays the bands blissed-out, energetic style in its clearest form. Singer Tarek Al-Shammaa is a ball-of-energy front man whose soulful tone casually ties the songs together with light and simple melodies that feel familiar after only a few listens. The songs are characterised by heavy four-on-the-floor kick-drum beats punctuated by carnival style rhythms, combined with robotic bass lines, warm synths and guitar lines which veer from summery chimes to huge soulful riffs.

Lastly we had, Modern Fighting Vehicles. The three gentlemen have been working together for five years, and decided they wanted to record an album. They moved into a house in Brighton with a big red door so they could work and write more closely. They now also have a small shed by a millpond with a microphone in it where we can record for free. They have a clever young friend who lurks in the house by the millpond, and if you listen closely you can hear her chirping on a couple of the demos that you'll find them selling from a violin case. With a harmonica to her lips and an avocado in hand, you will meet another of their closest companions when you see them in the flesh.

Headlining Ban Jam this week will be the, Ray Dar Vees. Given they only started out last summer, the future is already looking very promising for the threesome. With renowned producer Craig Silvey on board and a contract with the Pure Groove-linked Seven Sevens label they have already released their first single, Heart Attack. Their music is the epitome of a brilliant Ban Jam night with contrasting moody and energetic tunes.

Bridport Dagger Christened after an old gallows term, The Bridport Dagger met at the back of an ale house on Gypsy Hill during a drinking tournament. Consisting of two art school boys and a scientist, the trio's sound is bassless & drum heavy. Their twangy riffs and dense reverb evoke nightmarish 1950's rock & roll as re-imagined by David Lynch. As Stereosanctity put it; “Cinematic' in music crit terminology is usually taken to mean vast, expansive landscapes; but this stuff is 'cinematic' like a 30 second jump cut scene where some guy gets stabbed & thrown off a train". The Bridport Dagger were recently listed as the best discovery of Offest Festival 2010 in The Observer.

Alongside our resident dj’s Soldiers Of The Knight, Skip Skip Jump & the new Black Chili (Carlos) & D.Martinez we bring you Lucky Knightly, and the blonde to her strawberry, Sarah Bridge. With Sarah at Tonic FM & Lucy A&R Manager at Imagem Music the duo bring cutting edge industry only tunes and classic floor fillers. Opening the night will be Vulture House’s favorite DJ Tomfoolery, taking a break from the West End playing some of his classic dub and reggae.

Headlining Ban Jam this week will be Tribes, recently seen supporting Mystery Jets at Summerset House. They are breaking into the industry with great force. Published by Global and supporting a fantastic sound, hitting all major radio stations almost daily, they are soon to be everywhere. Lookout for their recently released first single ‘Whenever’ by Ban Jam records.

Ms D. most commonly known for her roll in ‘Oopsy Daisy’ by Chipmunk. The young lady has been singing since she was 14. Now jumping head first into her solo career and with influences like Beyonce and Jazmine Sullivan, she is aiming for the top and at the young age of 18 with a no.1 under the belt she is on the right track.

Turbogeist is a four man band. Luis, Josh, James & Jimmy, better know as James Jagger, son of Rolling Stones’ Mick Jagger have been playing together for over three years, but under different aliases such as The Eraserheads. The band is well know for their wealthy and exclusive party lifestyle. Turbogeist combine weirdo punk sounds with more macabre fantastic aural imagery while thrashing some heavy alternative rock. Bottom line, listen to it loud. Oh, but bring earplugs. They're a real scream.

Alongside our resident dj’s Soldiers Of The Knight, Skip Skip Jump & the new Black Chili (Carlos) we bring you Caroline Flack. Caroline started her career in 2002 as presenter on television, she quickly became affiliated with the music scene, acquired royalty Prince Harry as a best mate and did some modelling, not to mention of course trying her hands at DJ’ing. Also up is Mr Dan Lloyd-Jones, A & R Manager for EMI Publishing who has worked with the best of the best. He has a fantastic range of music and some great un-heard tunes.

Bailey Tzuke daughter of famous 80’s ledged Judy Tzuke is tipped as the next big thing on the international music circuit and she’s already got a fair few accolades to her name. American Billboard Editor DJ Larry Flick has championed her music, Kylie Minogue has tweeted her support for Bailey’s sound, the Freemasons produced global hit Uninvited with Bailey’s vocals on point and her track, Turn and Turn Again, shot to fame after it was featured in an episode of Grey’s Anatomy. Bailey has just released her first independent single ‐ Strong and is in the midst of recording her debut solo album.

Talking Pictures are a new band to the scene, but with their small devoted fan base they are getting plenty of attention. There poppy indie rhythm appeals to wide range of listeners. They are hold on to the trendy elctro beats in some tracks which makes very catchy and up beat tunes. Kurran and the Wolfnotes, sitting somewhere between Jose Gonzalez, Elliot Smith and Brighteyes; NME says - "The new school of Brit-Folk has arrived”. Kurran will be performing at Latitude and Redfest before coming to London to headline Ban Jam.

Bother & Sister act The Cordelier Club have been around for a while and while grabbing snippets of attention from Last FM and MTV have not quite braked. However now supporting a more rock edge they find themselves in the ear of many A&R mangers in town and have secured a residency at The Macbeth in Hoxton. In true Ban Jam style catch him here first

The official re-launch of Ban*Jam features some of fun oldies against top end acts, Dj sets from WILLIAM ORBIT, as well as Esser and Radio XFM’s Marsha. Tinashe will be headlining supported by Kyla La Grange's new band, recently seen playing with I Blame coco. Followed by Rum Shebeen back and recovered from Glastonbury with some fantastic Punk Tropicalia.

Ban*Jam is a live music night started more than two years ago by Edward Winter and Tom Graham. Tom Graham has worked in the record industry for over six years and now holds the position of A&R manager for Global Publishing. Edward Winter former employee of On|Off London Fashion Week is the founder of Vulture House, a creative events, promotions and PR Company.

Ban*Jam started in an underground bar called St Moritz, 159 Wardour Street. With refreshing and exciting acts performing in an exclusive and intimate environment. Sprinkled with more than a dash of debauchery, Ban Jam quickly gained a cult following and became a major step up the industry ladder for several acts. The popularity and following packed reputable venues like Neighborhood, Notting Hill Arts Club, Bossens Locker to premier establishments like Movida and Cuckoo.

Dear, if your reading this your a mug... or a mate who followed because i begged.

Been very busy so neglected the old VH Blog, so for that dear avid readers i am sorry!

Some of you may of heard and/or attended the I Blame Coco gig we did with Ban Jam last Tuesday(1st June) at the Flowerpot Camden. It was a fantastic gig and while Coco's talent as a singer has always been good, she has definitely improved so do have a listen at, www.myspace.com/iblamecoco new works coming out very very shortly.

Busy little week, must get everything organised for this Fridays DJ set, Tom Graham with celeb guest DJ will be treating our ears. Need to finalise plans for Vulture's 1st Birthday on the 26th Feb, whooo free bar.

Wednesday holds a stop at the Arthur and Albert studio for lunch and dinner plans with Tom G to get Ban Jam back on tracks.

Tied to the office on Thursday. The afternoon involves a visit to the ORAL TALES exhibition at 20 Hoxton Sq, check it out on Facebook very excited.

Got an exciting Friday down at Movida on the 5th Feb. To welcome the new month we have got the one and only Tom Graham aka Ban Jam & Skip Skip Jump, he'll be doing a DJ set with possible guest Ellie Golding or Ndubs (IMPORTANT.... not confirmed).

Following that plans will re-start on the launch of underground music night Ban Jam, new venue to be found. Darwin as mentioned will be breaking London soon.

Hello again from 2010.

As i'm sure you all might agree it's been hard getting back into the swing of things especially with the disastrous but beautiful snow. I myself was stuck in the surrey country side with my car turing into a oversized mound of snow.

Back in the London office now getting into the full swing of 2010. What does January have in store for Vulture House?

The update for this week is rather uneventful for you the reader. The Vulture House Office will be closed as I (Edward-Horatio director and founder of the very lucrative and international Vulture House) will be out of the country for the Polsat Charity Ball in Poland then jetting off to Kenya.

I will return and be fully contactable on the 18th December.

Dear readers

As it would appear with every Monday, well the last two i am writing what we are all up to this week.

We are shutting the office from the 12th to the 18th Dec as I (edward) the director will be popping out of the country to Poland for the Polsat Charity Christmas Ball then on to Kenya for a lovely retreat.

This means we must get a lot sorted in preparation for the the Vulture Christmas Drinks on the 18th Dec. We have two options here so please send feedback.

1. We can all meet at Movida for a blow out before the Christmas period, we will complimentary entry and a couple of tables.

2. A new club is opening up in central london on the 18th called Runway Vulture House has been invited to host a table and party at the opening. Openings are great and fun but very busy so cant quite decide, you are my guests so please let me know.

As usual we will all be down at Movida this weekend so com on down with any guests to join us for a good chin wag and dodgy dancing.

Supper Club Launch Party

Well I have never been so impressed, and as they claimed DAZZLED!! www.supperclub.com

Through friend of Vulture Miss Charlotte Griffiths at the mail on sunday a bunch of us went down for the opening. As you well know Vulture House is right in the thick of it in terms of London Night life ha ha (no but seriously).

I was very impressed with there very american homosexual vibe. Formally neighbourhood they have made quite an impressive change all white walls next to contradicting red rooms and exposed concrete.

Definitely worth a look at but i give it two years.
